This is actually the unique pure and clear call of the Southern Boubou . As a little girl , that was part of a large family , we youngest chose the bushveld our playground. Every day brought a new adventure as we walked down towards the “populier” bush with the Kosterrivier that flowed through . It was the call of the Pompielom that caught my attention … little knowing that I would one day be the owner of a guest house named Boubou B & B . By far my favorite bird that brings nice nostalgic reminders back to a childhood which one can only dream of!
