By word of mouth.
Someone once said family travels together, stays together and I fully agree that this is true of the Samme family from the United Kingdom.
This is what he had to say:
“I first visited Boubou in 2013 whilst working in Rustenburg, I stayed for 3 weeks and loved the place so much I vowed to return with the family. In Jan 2016 this became a reality and I arrived with my wife and 4 sons. Marnice and Jan-Piet were again the loveliest couple in the world and made our stay unforgettable. Boubou is a little garden of Eden situated amongst the African Bushveld it’s a place where you relax and sink into tranquillity. I love this place and I will return, Jan Piet and Marnice and now held as good friends and we keep in touch, I can’t thank them enough for extending the welcome they showed me in 2013 and to my family in 2016.”
His promise to return and it came true, in August 2019 he returned and this time he invited good friends with him. The family of 5 as first time visitors to South Africa had the following to say:
“We have just returned to the UK from an amazing stay at Boubou B&B. It was our first time in South Africa as a family and we had such a great time. Boubou Bed and Breakfast is a fantastic place to stay and all the staff is so friendly. The facilities are first class and there is so much to see and do in the area. I would recommend Boubou and South Africa to everyone and we can’t wait to go back”.
We spend 8 days with the 2 families, enjoying our South African braai tradition at the fire pit and enjoyed interesting conversations under the open night sky while listening to the Fiery-necked Nightjar’s call in the background. We also spend 2 days in the Pilanesberg National Park and loved the enthusiasm and appreciation for our fauna and flora.
We are already looking forward meeting these travelling families from the United Kingdom in the near future.
